Thanksgiving 2009

This Thanksgiving turned out be a wonderful one!
I Turkey Trotted the 10k with Brad's sisters, and Brad Turkey Bowled!

What a treat it was to have such a relaxing weekend with each other and our families.
This year I really wanted to take on the task of making some pies. Because it was going to be my first time I decided to go with the traditional Thanksgiving pumpkin. As I started getting ready to make the Crust, Brad volunteered that he would do it. Little did I know that Brad was so good at making Crust. I was shocked at the pastry perfection as he rolled it out on the table. I asked if he had ever made a pie before and he said,"No, but I've seen my Dad do it a hundred times." I'm excited that Brad has inherited the pie making skills. Brad never ceases to amaze me with all his hidden talents!

The 10K was awesome. We'll have to do it again next year if I'm here.

I'm impressed that Brad did so well on his first try. I watched mom make a lot of food over the years, but it often takes me many tries before I get it right. When I make pies, I always wish that dad was around so he could make the crusts and I could fill them.
