Museums!

In April I won a year pass to the Children's museum of Phoenix for two people. It is a really awesome kid's museum in downtown phoenix. So we have gone a few times and have had a lot of fun. There is so much to do!!  It also came with a couple of extra passes so Brad was able to come with us once as well.
Ice cream Stand. Makenna was the boss of this stand and was a total ice cream nazi. The poor kids who wanted to play with this.
They have a full on play grocery store
Grocery carts and all
Trying to keep tanner from eating the beans.
I have to include this picture because it really is a great idea of what goes on at this grocery store. So it is crazy busy with tons of kids. The scene made me think of watching the news of a grocery store being RANSACKED after a natural disaster. This is a picture of a little boy totally whacking Makenna in the face.

She loved painting this Castle, it was probably her favorite thing.
Here we are at the IDEA Museum in Mesa. We have passes to this one through our POGO pass. They always have a good time at this one too!

Makennaisms

Makenna is quite the girl, Happy and Grumpy, Outgoing and Shy, Sweet and Sour, Naughty and Nice. You never know what you are going to get! We sure do love her so and want to remember some of the fun things she says. Here are a few quotes from the pass few months.

I had taken the kids to the Doctors office. When we got in the room Makenna told the doctor, " I DON'T want a shot today!" She paused for moment, "but you can give one to my brother."

One night as Brad walked in the door coming home from work Makenna greets him," Brad! Your wife is here!"

One day as the kids were playing at the park, she starts being kinda sassy to these two boys there and at one point I over hear her say to them " That's my baby brother Tanner, when he was really little my mom borned him." Then the little boy replies, " I know that happens to everybody" I couldn't help but laugh.

Makenna was helping me clean some mirrors and Tanner grabbed the bottle of windex and ran off. Makenna yells, "Mom! Tanner's got the Makennacals"  ( Chemicals)

Just recently my dad had to get his Gall Bladder removed and had been in a lot of pain for a few days. Makenna was a little concerned about him and said a cute prayer. "Grateful that Grandpa has a big owie in his tummy, bless his body that he will be healthy and protected" Then she was quite proud of herself for using the word "Protected".

Pictures just for fun

My friend is trying raise some money for a Cancer walk this fall and was exchanging some photography for donations.  I didn't really plan ahead and she just ended coming over and just taking pictures of my kids playing around the house. It was fun! Since Mother's day was coming up, I had her snap a couple pictures with me and the kids.

The Everyday Collection: April

I swear this kids spend so much time on our kitchen table. I think he is just trying to make me become accustom to it so I just think its normal.
Its not unusual for Brad  to come home to the kids naked and running away crazy to avoid getting their pajamas on :)
Say hello to one of the newest members of the no nap club. that means falling asleep in random places every so often.
Tanner helping me mow the lawn
 Enchanted Island with cousins

All the little ones riding in the car
Makenna is always asking to do a project these days. This one is getting a little "onto hand'.

Enjoying nice park weather and a cute boy :)
We watched this little duck family for weeks. It was really fun to see the ducklings grow each week as we went to the park.

Easter Activities

Our first attempt of of dying Easter egg. Makenna enjoyed about 1 egg and I spent the rest of the time trying to keep Tanner out of the dye.
Luckily I still like dying eggs, I got to do 11!

We like to move it move it

We liked moving so much a year ago that we thought we would do it again! Just Kidding! Half way through February the management company that we were renting the house from notified us that the owners of the house were going to be moving back. Our lease was up at the end of March so we were all of the sudden  on the hunt for a new place to live. I spent the whole next week making my part time job trying to find a new rental house. Through a series of events we were thankful able to find a nice place and its still in our same ward! Then with Brad's schedule it was best if we moved in the first week of March, so I had about 2 weeks and a few days to pack up our house. Thankfully the kids were pretty good during the packing, and family and friends watched them a few times to help get things done. Now that we are settling in I like the house. It's always hard to live in the ciaos of moving boxes.

With moving to a new place there are always things you end up having to buy, which means lots of trips to target, and always having to visit this target dog.
Brad has been working hard to get all the lawns looking nice, here he is building a fire on the palm tree stump in the back yard to burn it down. I just thought this was humorous went I went out to see what he was doing.
The bank is pretty close to our house so we walked there one day when I needed to deposit some checks. Makenna made sure to get a sucker for each of us. This is Tanner's first sucker and he ended eating most of the stick.
Fun trip to the Zoo with the Allen's
Trying to get them all in the same picture!
These little crazies just wanted to climb around.
